Cooper & David // A San Francisco CA Wedding, ft. Pulgas Water Temple & The Bridge yard
Here is a story many years in the making. I’m not referring to these two people’s lives in so much as the actual event itself, which was postponed twice due to complications (worldwide plague anyone?). In the end it all came together. The backdrop was that of Californian historical landmarks. It was a day of many images, but I’ll leave you with a couple sounds to go with the visuals.
Filtered, the sound of a city making its way up just a few floors, through a cracked window as ties are fastened.
The hollow rush of water carried from a reservoir hundreds of miles away trickling in over cheers for a union.
Traffic rushing by in place of trains while they danced, the old train tracks now covered under their feet.
My, what a celebration.

Trisha & Danny // A Sacramento Wedding
This story is about a table. I’m not entirely sure where The Table came from, or how often he was used. If I had to venture a guess The Table lived most of his life in a garage, folded together neatly and stored out of the way. He would come out every now and then, someone rushing in to whisk him away and hastily throwing some cloth over him. He wasn’t pretty, very utilitarian, and though his life wasn’t active the few times he came out there was a guaranteed party.
It was mid May, not exactly hot but maybe a bit warmer than comfortable. It was here that The Table found himself being set up neatly in a little park. The park itself was large, a few sports fields, a playground and some picnic tables nestled just off a lazy street in west Sacramento. People bustled about him. A vase, water bottle, some knickknacks and a computer were shuffled around. He enjoyed holding things, feeling useful. Everyone seemed so joyful, excitement filled the air.
Trisha and Danny hadn’t planned on having their wedding this Saturday in May. A pandemic was in full swing, but in a stroke of luck their family was passing through Sacramento on the same day. In the span of a couple days they planned an impromptu celebration. It featured masks, a rather lengthy Zoom call, and a good bit of distance between families. But I’ll let the photos tell the rest.

Working with other creatives is always such a joy, it really opens up the door to weirdness and creativity. Here are a few real neat photos from a day spent wandering around San Francisco with some real neat people.
