Sabrina & Andrew // A San Francisco Engagement Session ft. Conservatory of Flowers & Golden Gate Bridge

Wandered around San Francisco, ate pizza. The usual. But for real, check out the Conservatory of Flowers. It’s free every first Tuesday of the month, and so few people were there. There’s so many cool parts of San Francisco that not a lot of people know about (myself included). Anyway, here’s some pics ft. two real neat people in a few real neat spaces.

Madeleine & Nick // A Berkeley Wedding ft. St. Mary Magdalen Church & The Brazilian Room

There are few feelings like driving through Berkeley. Somehow you’ve been transported to a movie set, even the cracks in the road look preplanned, as if someone tried to make it look a little less quaint.

Madeleine and Nick invited me along some months prior to get their marriage certificate in San Francisco City Hall, which they signed on a Friday in November at St. Mary Magdalen with a few of their closest friends. This is a story of two people, a snapshot into a day that they and a few others shared together. I feel lucky to have had a front row seat to something so elegant, enjoy this beautiful wedding in Berkeley.

Kendra & Jordan // A Berkeley Wedding ft. The Brazilian Room & The University of California Botanical Garden

As Jordan read his vows during the ceremony there was a moment, on the quiet hilltop in Berkeley, that he was drowned out by motorcycles passing by below. At first he tried to power through it but the attempt didn’t last long. His parents, respectfully sitting in silence moments before, burst out laughing. The crowd joined in. Life doesn’t care about your plans, and that’s what makes this whole thing enjoyable. Here are a few snips from that day in the beginning of November, at the beautiful Brazilian Room.

Valerie & Daniel // San Francisco Flower Market

Something that’s always been important to me is making sure to walk the line between documenting moments and creating more dynamic work. If I’m honest those two styles don’t often go hand in hand and I’ve struggled for a long time to create work that felt more “real”, something that feels like a sneak peak into a life. All that being said I was stoked to document some “real” moments of Daniel and Valerie picking out flowers at the San Francisco flower market for their wedding (which is another beautiful story that I’m sure will be shared soon enough). In the meantime I hope you enjoy some candid photos from a few hours with these two genuinely wonderful people.

Kevin & Delanie // Joaquin Miller Park, Oakland, California

Here’s a snippet from one of my favorite days (wedding or otherwise) ever. Kevin and Delanie are some of the coolest people I’ve known, and they threw down hard in Oakland. From their ceremony at Joaquin Miller Park to their reception at Classic Cars West downtown there wasn’t much more a photographer could ask for. We hit up redwoods to get that nature vibe and underpasses to get that grunge one, they truly were down for everything. Now if they could just get married every weekend forever that would be pretty great.
